Little Secrets

"Every week I will give my readers a little magical secret, for free, that I think are very important. Not all of them will be related to travel. Hope you enjoy them."
So here is the first one.

Amethyst

Has been used as a travelers protection stone for thousands of years. Many cultures believe that Amethyst in their pocket will guard them while traveling.

So you definitely need one!

Amethyst also brings emotional stability and inner strength. It is a such great traveler's protector, that it suits any type of travel, including air, sea and driving.

They are not expensive stones. I have found some nice ones for you and placed them in my travel product recommendations  for purchase - including some jewelery that every woman will love.

Please always carry with you a amethyst stone or jewelery, it will protect you.

Here's another little secret!

Basil is known far and wide as a culinary herb but also is a sacred herb, especially in India. Contains some interesting magical properties. In Mediterranean countries, it is strewn on floors to purify a home.
It also can bring luck to people moving into a new residence, a gift of a potted basil plant guarantees good fortune.

Basil is of religious significance to the Eastern Orthodox Church and it is used by the priest to bless people with. Many Greeks bring basil plants as gifts to the church or have their basil plants blessed by the priest, as a blessing for the health and prosperity.

So, here is a little tip:
Soak some basil in water for 3 days and sprinkle the water at your door step to bring MONEY and SUCCESS to you, it will also drive away any evil or envy people.
Hope you enjoy that. See you next week.

Today we talk about Bay leaves

They were used by the Delphic priestesses.
The culinary leaves may be slightly narcotic and aid digestion when added to bouquet garni, marinades, pate, soups and stews. The wood is used to give aromatic tang to smoked foods and oil of Bay, from the fruit, flavors some liqueurs.

But the best about Bay leaves is that if you put some under your pillow will give you inspiration and visions. Also you have to place 3 leaves in your wallet to bring you money and luck. I always have them with me because this comes from my grandmother and mother.
Now, people say that when your Bay leaves from your wallet have crumbled into dust, your good fortune will arrive.

A thought...

Do not make room for fear and doubt in your heart; keep your eye on the success. If you are able to keep your eye on the prize you will have a very satisfying life.
The definition of success is achieving what you determined what success is for you. Many say that success comes from the journey and not the end destination and it is true, but only you get to determine what success means. Do not look to outside voices  to tell you what is it, let your inner voice be the one that defines it for you.

Now, when you feel fear, I have 2 options for you:

1-Get some moss agate, they are not expensive and I have some on my web for purchase.
They are called the "Warrior's Stone", they reduce tension and releases fear.

2-Get some yarrow flower or herb, I also have them in my web, not expensive either.
It is believed that when you hold yarrow in your hand, it will stop fear and grant you courage.
I also make the tea and drink a cup, it really helps.

Although know to a few, the yarrow plant is native of the Northern Hemisphere.
It has been used for decades to treat a number of health disorders, from improving circulation
 to promoting dental health.
When taken in moderation, yarrow tea can help quell flu-like symptoms, it is excellent remedy for fever and also provides
provides relief from respiratory conditions like coughs, thereby clear the nasal passage, helping relieve chest infection.
Doctors also recommend yarrow tea for people that have
asthma. It also aids digestion, promotes circulation and relives menstrual cramps.

So, I hope you will enjoy this.

Today we talk about Moldavite

This amazing stone has so many properties that I thought you would enjoy reading and learning about it, so here it goes.

Moldavite is an olive – green or dull greenish vitreous substance formed by a meteorite impact. Others believe it is the only ‘extraterrestrial’ gemstone. Moldavite is a variety of tektite, first found in 1787 and named after the Moldau river valley in Bohemia, Czech Republic, where it occurs.

Moldavite is sometimes cut and polished as an ornamental stone under the name of pseudo-Chrystel.
This green gem belongs to the rarest minerals ever found on earth. They have been respected for thousands of years by humanity due to their unique properties. Nowadays, moldavite is still presented as a royal gift and according to legend, it was said that the Holy Grail was once decorated with moldavite.

Moldavite is an important healing gemstone for the 21st century. It’s an ideal companion on our spiritual journey as we are slowly moving towards the more subtitle, female energies of the Aquarian Age.
Moldavite is mainly a spiritual activator as it speeds everything up, especially within the area of the heart – chakra. It increases the depth and clarity of your inner journey. It will remove any blockades and within 2 months of wearing it, something definitely will have changed.

Moldavite is also an astral guardian. Wearing a piece of moldavite will shield you from negative energies because it is reluctant to let in any slow frequency energy. It simply stops it. It strengthens and enhances inner journeys, channeling, cosmic – and crystal consciousness.
Moldavite has the ability to raise our vibration within our etheric and astral body, offering a unique opportunity to short – cut some of the long – term difficulties we otherwise could have.

Magical Healing Properties of the Gemstone Moldavite
  1. Suitable for meditation· helps mitigate negative experiences
  2. Speeds up the healing process
  3. Helps with apparently insoluble problems
  4. Speeds up the healing process against influenza, asthma and bronchitis
  5. Said to assist in remembering connections to other worlds
Hope you find this interesting. I have a piece of jewelry and 1 moldavite stone for sale on my web.

Benefits of Hyssop

Is everything good in your life? If it is, I am truly happy for you.
These days people seem angry, unhappy and dissatisfied with their lives,
I guess is because of the economy, not just from our country but the world
is a mess!

Today we are going to talk about this amazing plant called "Hyssop", most
people have never even heard of it.
Do you feel heavy? Sad? No energy? It might be because there is so much enviousness
around you. Even if you feel positive, you can meet someone that is complaining
about something, or is very negative, and then your good day and all good you were
feeling goes away.
So, get some of this herb, I have it on my web, make a tea, let it cool down and after
you finish your shower make a prayer and while you are dropping the tea from head
to toe, ask that all the negativity that is on you, all the enviousness that surrounds you, go away.
Believe me in the next day, you will feel lighter. I take the shower with this herb every week, so my life goes smooth.

Also Hyssop is one of the oldest know natural remedies and holds a special distinction
as it was mentioned in the Bible as being used to lift up the sponge soaked in wine to
Jesus as he died on the cross. For this reason it is referred as "holy herb".

It is also used to treat all kinds of lung problems such as asthma, colds and coughs.
It will regulate blood pressure and increase circulation. But should not be taken continuously
for longer than 2 weeks, after 2 weeks of use, discontinue using the herb for at least 1 or 2 weeks
and then after the break, it can be used again. Please talk to your doctor before using the herb,
just in case you have more severe problems.

It will also stop pain and swelling causes by bruises, insect bites.
It will soothe the lining of the stomach if your stomach is upset.

Warning for woman that are nursing or pregnant and those with
epilepsy should not use hyssop oil as it contains nerve stimulants
that may be damaging.

So as you can see this is truly an amazing plant. Hope you enjoy this.

Chakras

That is what we are going to talk about today. Do you know what Chakras are?
I did not until I started to research, amazing we have these energies throughout our body and sometimes we don't even know because we can not feel them.

Chakras are described as energy centers along the spine located at major branchings of the human nervous system, through which, believers assert, pass 3 major energy channels, Sushumna, Ida, and Pingala.
Chakras are considered to be a junction of biophysical energy of the human body. This energy is said to be a basic component of your body which creates your energy field and links you to the energy in the universe.

Blockages of energy in our 7 Chakras can often lead to illness so it's important to understand what each Chakra represents and what we can do to keep this energy flowing freely.

Here's our quick summary of the 7 Chakras:

1. Root Chakra- Supports our foundation and the feeling of being grounded.
Location: Base of spine in tailbone area.
Emotional issues: Survival issues such as financial independence, money, and food.

2. Sacral Chakra - Supports our connections with others and our ability to accept new things
Location: Lower abdomen, about 2 inches below the navel and 2 inches in.
Emotional issues: Sense of abundance, well-being, pleasure, sexuality.

3. Solar Plexus Chakra - Supports our ability to be confident and in-control of our lives.
Location: Upper abdomen in the stomach area.
Emotional issues: Self-worth, self-confidence, self-esteem.

4. Heart Chakra - Supports our ability to love.
Location: Center of chest just above heart.
Emotional issues: Love, joy, inner peace.

5. Throat Chakra - Supports our communication
Location: Throat.
Emotional issues: Communication, self-expression of feelings, the truth.

6. Third Eye Chakra - Supports our ability to focus on and see the big picture.
Location: Forehead between the eyes. (Also called the Brow Chakra)
Emotional issues: Intuition, imagination, wisdom, ability to think and make decisions.

7. Crown Chakra- The highest Chakra represents our ability to be fully connected spiritually.
Location: The very top of the head.
Emotional issues: Inner and outer beauty, our connection to spirituality, pure bliss.

There are several ways to balance your Chakras and one of them is through meditation.

Have you ever done meditation?
Do you like it?

I am a very fast paced person. I am always moving, so I never though I would enjoy doing meditation, yoga - things that are slow motion. Now I love to do Yoga  because the stretch and balance exercises helps me to clear my mind and focus on the here and now.

Meditation gives me the quiet time when I am totally at rest, mind and body, and can focus on my energy and spiritual health. So I do meditation every day. It is only a half-hour and it makes me feel relaxed, with energy and I am with a positive outlook all day long. We are going to talk about the meditation I do next week, so you can try. I highly recommend it.

Hope this was helpful.

Chakras and Meditation continues...

So last week I gave you a overview about Chakras and told you I would tell today the type of Meditation I do everyday.

First of all, Chakras must be balanced. Any imbalances may have profound effects upon either our physical or physiological bodies.
When Unbalanced you may experience: The "blahs", lack of grounding, lack of inspiration or even Depression (because you're disconnected from your spiritual source.)

To balance the Chakras you can use the following process
  1. Lay down on your back.
  2. Place:
    • 2 quartz crystals on the third eye Chakra, points facing downwards,
    • 2 quartz crystals on the palm, points upwards;
    • 2  quartz crystals on the breast area, points upwards;
    • 2 quartz crystals placed on the top of the thighs, point upwards.
  3. If you lay quietly on your back for about 15 minutes, the Chakras will quickly re-align themselves.

Or, you can try Meditation and the one I do is called "Evolve" from John Edwards.
Have you heard of him? Here is a little about him.

John Edward McGee, Jr. is an American television personality and professional psychic medium. He is best known for his TV shows Crossing Over with John Edward and John Edward Cross Country.

Have you ever seen John Edwards or had a reading with him?
I have seen him many times on TV and personally think he is an amazing psychic, I truly think he is for real but never had a reading done because he charges $700 dollars and up for a personal reading, for me is just too expensive, but one time I decided to get his DVD's that are called "EVOLVE". They are wonderful.

Since all of us go through stressful times in our lives, I just decided to do what he was telling me on the DVD's and I am glad I did. His way to teach you how to meditate is amazing, he teaches you how to breath properly and takes you into a beautiful journey. In the begining is hard, because your mind speeds up with a millions thoughts until you start to control you mind and go into the journey.

When you finish his meditation, the sense of peace and balance that you feel is amazing! It is like you are waking up from this great night of rest. I spend my day feeling happier, my mind seems clear to make right decisions at the right time, and if a bad thought goes through my mind I can put it out almost right way. You have to do it and try it.

I have his DVD's on my web for purchase, if you decide to try, please let me know what you think.
Next week we talk about the difference between Chakras and Auras.

Difference between Auras and Chakras

Your Aura
Auras are fields of luminous energy that surround a person like a halo, and can be seen or detected by those with intuitive abilities either with their physical eyes or their third eye (i.e. mind’s eye). Auras contain various colors, and the master intuitive can detect a person’s dominant energies by the color of their aura. Each color conveys a different meaning.

When I was a child a psychic told me my aura was yellow and that meant I was smart, logical, and inquisitive. Over the years my aura changed to green and purple which I was told meant I was spiritual and compassionate. Sometimes I was told my aura was purple around my head and yellow around my body. It seemed my aura was like a mood ring and changed colors with my emotional state.

Auras can be affected by the energies of people around us.
If you’re having a conversation with a person who is intimidating you, likely your aura will shrink back as the other person’s energy pushes against it. If you’re feeling powerful and unstoppable, your aura will be thick and strong, and it’s unlikely you’ll feel intimidated by another’s energy. When you’re in love, your aura will reach out to lightly brush against the aura of the person you love, and they will combine to create a field of light around the two of you. As you move apart, pieces of your energetic field will remain with your loved one.

People with powerful auras will have a lot of charisma. Celebrities or politicians are a good example. Anyone that has a strong presence, who can draw a crowd, likely has a thick aura. On the other hand, people who are fearful, anxious, or shy will often have a very thin aura. If you are unhealthy, there may be areas of black in your aura. If you are meditating or doing spiritual work, you could emanate gold, white, or purple energy.
If you are practiced at energy work, you can also inject colors into your aura when you need them. Yes, you can manipulate your aura to send off subtle, or not so subtle, cues into the atmosphere. If you’re about to make a big sales presentation you might want to inject some red into your aura. If you’re about to break up a fight, you might want to inject some gold or green into your aura. What you emanate can influence someone else so emanate responsibly. ;)

To sum up, your aura is the energetic field that emanates from your body and indicates your general mood, state, or way of being. It can be adjusted consciously if you are practiced and skilled at energy work. It can change quickly based on your current situation.
Don't you think this is amazing?

Chakras are energy centers inside your body that are anchored in place. Each Chakra relates to a different aspect of your life and each Chakra is a certain color.
  1. Your root Chakra, for example, relates to security, stability, and abundance, and is red.
  2. Your heart Chakra is green and relates to compassion, connection with others, and love.
  3. Your throat Chakra, which is blue, relates to your ability to communicate and express yourself.
The Chakras tell the story.

While auras can be adjusted based on current mood and intent, your Chakras are more anchored and rooted. It takes real change in your life to create a change in your Chakras.

To sum up, your Chakras are a reflection of your life situation. An intuitive can use Chakras to diagnose your current areas of strength and weakness and then guide you on how to make changes in your life that will later be reflected in changes in your Chakras.

I hope you think this is an amazing thing to find out, because I was amazed.

Today we are going to talk about this amazing and rare gemstone called Phosphosiderite

Phosphosiderite is a fascinating gemstone as it is made from a combination of iron and phosphorus. The stone looks akin to Sugilite. The name “Phosphosiderite” has been derived from its basic elements phosphorus and iron. The word iron however has been borrowed from the Greek language, which is “Sideros”, hence forming “phosphor-siderite”. Besides Phosphosiderite, the stone is also popularly known as “Piedrea voga” which means pink stone or “La Roca Voca” meaning pink rock in many countries.Phosphosiderite is a rare gem and is found particularly in Argentina and Chile.

It also has a lovely calming, soothing vibration that aids stress, but that is not all there is to it.
Once you begin to use it more... particularly in meditation... you will find it has some quite interesting properties, including being a healing stone that will resonate within all of the Chakras, and it has a powerful action to aid spirituality.

Although metaphysical properties of Phosphosiderite are lesser known, the crystals in the stone are believed to possess certain healing properties. The shades of purple are supposed to aid in reducing anger. It also helps in calming down the heightened temperament of a person and brings about a feeling of relaxation and peacefulness. Some suggest Phosphosiderite has spiritual properties as well. It is believed to help heal problems related to the third eye Chakra (Energy that is stored between our brows that link to spirituality). The third eye Chakra is supposed to be associated with knowledge and perception. Thus Phosphosiderite is a rare and beautiful gemstone and apart from its beauty the stone also possesses interesting properties that reduces stress, may help heal and aid in perception..

How it can help you.
What you feel happening with each use of the Phosphosiderite crystal is an expansion of its action.
The action could be linked to the presence of Cacoxenite in the stones, which is known to cause an expansion of your consciousness. With each use of this crystal, it feels like it is actively healing your physical body... more deeply and strongly with each use.

At the same time it is working on raising your vibration, to aid emotional and spiritual healing, and assisting your spiritual awakening. It is almost like it has an agenda, and will work on the areas where it is most needed and then go on to other areas. It is also an excellent stone for finding your spirit guide, as it opens up a stronger spiritual connection.
For a truly beautiful spiritual connection... you may like to use it at the throat Chakra. When placed there it immediately connects you upwards... through all of the higher Chakras.

I was able to find a necklace for you to buy if you are interested, just go to my products you will see it.

A little help to sell your home

Now a days it is so hard to be able to sell our homes. I know so many people whose homes have been on the market for years. They do get people to look but not to buy.
So today I will give you a little tip how to help you to sell your home.
I am sure that most of you have heard about Saint Joseph, he was a carpenter from Nazareth,  Mary's husband and the father of Jesus. He first made a home for Mary in Nazareth; then  he moved his pregnant wife to Bethlehem, where Jesus was born.

An angel warned Joseph in a dream one night to take Mary and the child and flee to Egypt to escape the wrath of King Herod, who wanted to kill the baby.
After Herod's death Joseph again was told in a dream to return to Nazareth.

As you can see, Saint Joseph knew all about moving from place to place and how to do it in a hurry! His feast day is March 19th. Saint Joseph is honored as the Patron of a happy home, safeguard of families and protector of children. He is also patron saint of carpenters and workers.

These are the steps:
1. Ask Saint Joseph to intercede for you before the Lord for your requests, including the selling of your home.
2. Bury a statue of him in the back of your home, exactly 12" inches in the ground! Two friends of mine did not know and they buried in the front and they did not sell their homes.
3. The statue should be placed upside down with the feet pointing heavenwards. Some people face the statue towards the home and others face it away, towards the new home they want to move in.
4. When the house sells, make sure to bring the statue with you to your new home and place it in a place of honor as a reminder to thank God.

I truly hope this will help you.
I have a little kit on my products for purchase if you would like.

Amber ( Organic Ancient Wisdom)

Are you in pain or sick? Do you know anyone that is?
If your answer is yes, I will tell you about Amber.
Amber is not a gemstone. In fact, it is fossilized tree sap and is prized for its color, age or clarity. Amber is also valued by scientists; because, it can provide evidence of Earth's history. But your interest is its long history of use for its healing and magical properties.

Features:
Amber is actually fossilized sap which leaks from trees and becomes stone-like from ions of pressure and heat. Because it was once sap, running down the tree, insects often got trapped in it before it fossilized. Amber is soft, similar to a hardened resin and its color can range from pale yellow to deep brown, but most Amber is the color of honey. Buyer beware, it is very difficult to tell the difference between amber colored resin (Copal) with captured insects and real amber. Buy from a trusted source.

Time frame:
Real Amber is millions of years old. The International Colored Gemstone Association (ICA) reports that "most Amber is approximately 25 to 50 million years old." However, according to ICA in 1994, a molecular biologist from California claimed that he and his colleagues had "extracted DNA from a weevil that was trapped in amber 120 to 135 million years ago, when dinosaurs did indeed roam the earth."

Secret Value:
Throughout history, cultures attributed special properties to Amber. Greek and Roman poets described Amber as "sun-dried tears" or "drops of the sun that spill into the ocean." In addition, the Greeks wrote of amber's electrical characteristic. When rubbed with cloth, Amber becomes electrically charged and attracts particulates.

Ancient cultures thought that Amber had medicinal properties and would grind it up and mix with honey to cure anything from Asthma to the Black Plague.
Amber was worn for protection against evil. Sailors would burn Amber to protect their ships from sea monsters. Mothers would burn Amber near their newborns to help them grow strong. As late as the 1940s, Amber bead necklaces were placed on babies to help with the pain of teething.

Some believe Amber brings good luck, calms nerves and heals illnesses in the throat, kidneys and bladder.

Amber absorbs pain and negative energy and transmutes it to healing energy. It cleans and draws disease from the body and assists in rejuvenation of cells and tissues, helping the body to heal itself. A powerful healer in general, Amber is used for kidney, bladder issues and lymph nodes and lymph system.

Some say that, it will help heal kidney and bladder cancers.

The best sources of Amber today are Baltic States and the Dominican Republic." Baltic Amber is typically older, a quality that increases its market value".

I truly hope this will  help you or someone that needs help.
I have on my products some amber for you.

How and Why should you clean you home spiritually

Do you ever think that negative energy could be around you and you do not know about it?
I hope you know what I mean when I say, "positive and negative energy." Unfortunately many people do not believe in it and their lives are always a roller coaster. Things start to break down,  things fall from your hands, arguments start to happen, things delay, nothing seems to go right and they need help. That is what happens when people are surrounded by negative energy. I believe that spirits are energy based.
Frankly, recent scientific discoveries about the brain conclude that the brain functions as in a quantum physics mode, so it is possible that our "Soul" is an energy which is housed in our brain when we live in this realm. Einstein stated that there exists in one simple drop of water, enough energy to make nuclear bombs look like child's play. These discoveries give credence to beliefs by many civilization of afterlife. So energy is all around us, both positive and negative. So, please pay attention to what I have to say.

Our bodies are much like the homes we inhabit. Just as our spirits need a nice clean body to reside in, we, as people, need the comfort of knowing our homes are peaceful without evil entities or bad spirits. Our bodies retain positive as well as negative energy when unchecked.
For centuries, yoga and other forms of meditation have been tools to release the negative energy from our bodies and fill them with positive energy to give us an inner peace.  It begins in the center or appropriate space inhabited by the soul. The soul must be filled with white light energy. An individual should pull the energy from center, up through the chest and out of the hands. Then when the force causes the skin to lightly tingle, it is released out through the fingertips.

Positive energy can keep you healthy and cure you from disease. Consider the healing of Edgar Casey and others. This came from control over energy fields. If you need further proof, read Dr. Brown's "Super Mind" to understand the power of energy when controlled by the mind.  Likewise, negative energy can literally make you ill, especially if you are exposed to it on a regular basis. Physics has taught us that negative and positive energy repel each other and tend to clump together. As a result, when you begin allowing negative energy into your life, it grows like a cancer, like dust in a building,  thoughts, actions and emotions - are held there, growing like the ever increasing dust, imprinted on the walls and  floors of your life. Arguments, upsets, illness, traumas and other unsettling energies (or unwanted entities) can linger and disturb the harmonious balance of your home.

When the energy in our home or workplace isn't flowing properly and has become stagnant, it can cause problems such as depression, arguments, ill health, lack of motivation, tension, frustration, even financial loss. It is as important to cleanse the energy in your home, as it is to cleanse the energy in your own personal field.
If the energy in your home feels, heavy, stale, chaotic, even threatening, a good cleansing with this method listed below will help to lighten it up!

How do you cleanse your home of negative energy?
Many religions or spiritualists believe in cleansing the home of impurities by way of speaking a blessing over the residence. Sacred space is supposed to be protected from negative energy and have a clean spiritual feel to it.

Before you begin the cleansing, you will need a couple of items:
1.) A medium bundle of Sage
2.) Abalone shell for loose sage leaves
3.) Spring or purified water
4.) Kosher or sea salt
5.) Spray bottle

If you live in a place that has 2 floors, start with the first floor, make sure you open 1 window, so any negative energy can go out. When you go to 2nd floor, again open a window.
The technique for using sage is often referred to as smudging.  The abalone shell serves as a bowl for burning the individual leaves.
When you begin you will first start with the outside of your home, if you live in a apartment start with your front door from the outside. When you finish the outside, then you do the inside.

First mix the salt with the water and spray around every entrance, every window, doors and corners that is where stagnant energy concentrate. When you finish, then do the sage. This will take at least a couple of hours depending the size of your home, believe me, it is worth it. My home is light, full of good energy. I try to do this cleaning in the beginning of every season, if you can't or do not feel like doing it this often, at least do it beginning of spring and winter.

Every time you spray with salt and do the sage, this is what you have to say:
"I break up and release all negativity and stagnant energy in my home, may peace, light & divine love to be present. "

This way was practiced by the Native Americans. There are many different blessings that can be used, including catholic prayers; but my personal favorite is this simple binding prayer.

This will help the individual to feel the crisp clean effect left after the cleansing. When all this has been accomplished, sit in the center of each room and visualize a bright light or loving energy filling the space. Then make sure to take a shower to cleanse any residual negative force from your body. Sometimes negative energy attaches itself to the individual while they are channeling the positive energy. After all is completed, take a deep breath and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of your home. It has been cleansed of negative or anything with evil intent or restlessness.

AH! When you do the sage, don't forget to do your garage and your car, it will protect you when driving.

The method I just showed you, is the one I use and the one I learned with John Edwards, if you bought his DVD 's, it is on Disc 2, he shows you exactly how to do it. If you did not buy it, here is how to do it. I also gave you information that is not on his DVD.
I have on my products a abalone shell and sage.
So, good luck!

Healing Crystals for Breast cancer

The main reason I am writing this article is because I  lost my Dear Mom from cancer 4 years ago, she was my best friend and the best mother in the world. She lived with cancer for 32 years.
Yes, she was a very strong lady!

When she first had breast cancer, she was not yet 40 years old. She was pretty good for about 10 years and then the cancer went to her lungs - she has never smoked. I knew I would loose her some day; but, she could have lived longer. What killed my Mom faster was chemotherapy - at the end, her so beloved doctor gave her such strong doses of chemo, that it destroyed her.  It was very sad to see her go!

So, I decided to do some research to see if there are alternatives to chemo and I found out that gemstones when place in the proper way on your body can help you to heal. I wish I knew by then what I know now; maybe,  I would still have my Mom. So this is for "ALL" the mother's, daughter's, sister's, and friends' s with all my love. Truly hope this can help someone.

In ancient Egypt, 1500 years before Christ, written records show that Gemstones were used by doctors for their amazing healing powers. In China, a country that uses a vast array of pulverized natural substances in their medical treatment, would pulverize gemstones and include them in presriptions for health.  In the practice of Ayurveda, it is called Vedic gemstone therapy. Today, gemstones are worn as jewelry, providing both style and good health. Anyone can enjoy the healing benefits of a gemstone by simply carrying one with them.

So, how can gemstones slow down or cure Cancer?

Cancer comes in many shapes and forms. Cancer is really about us holding back our energy, our creative power, the ‘real’ us that wants to do more but we feel we can’t for many different reasons. We hold back for so long we shut down our light, slowly over time.

Psychics report that energetically, cancer is stagnant or blocked energy, often appearing black, where there should be light or a color. Putting light back in and opening the flow into the area is what needs to be done. Doing the thing you really want to do, often comes to the forefront as the energy starts to flow into the area.

DO IT!! You’ll feel free and often just doing ‘the thing’ makes the world of difference.

Facts:

Gemstones have a three-foot wide energy field and can be used to restore energy and balance emotions. Crystal, Jasper and Rhodonite can be worn as part of an anti-addiction regime. Clearly, Royals of old understood not only the splendor of gemstones but also their healing powers so they set them in gold to better transmit their power and healing properties.

Function:

Gemstones can be used to heal and balance the body. Placed on the body, in the location of the site that needs healing, gemstones can help cure  kidney, stomach and bladder problems, nerve disorders, chemical imbalances and other problems. Ancient scripts reported that red stones  are used to replenish energy.

The patient-provider relationship is essential to the success of crystal therapy. Patients must trust thew provider and believe in the therapy to gain any benefits. An experienced healer will choose the correct gemstones for the treatment and their practice.  Don't be surprised if different practitioners use different stones.
My research into breast cancer treatment revealed that one healer suggested
emerald, sugilite, petalite, malachite, fluorite, chalcopyrite and selenite. While a different healer suggested amethyst, smoky quartz, rose quartz and clear quartz. As you look at the actions of the specific crystals you will see a lot of overlap. I attribute the different selections to common elements found in multiple crystals and to the energy interaction of the healer.

Who to look for:

A visit to a crystal healer involves the placement of various stones and crystals on acupoints or chakras, as identified by acupuncture and Ayurvedic medicine respectively, to restore vital energy within the patient.
So look for a Crystal Healer close to you.
He will know what to do and guide you in the best way possible.

Here is what these gemstones can do:

Selenite is the perfect crystal of light - perfect for purifying the body. Selenite's cleansing properties works like a laser, piercing the energy system and re-aligning the cells to their natural state. In this way it reduces tumors and promotes physical healing.

Petalite and Malachite promote cellular regeneration by drawing in positive energy and eliminating black spots. They are known for getting the energy to flow more naturally again.

Fluorite promotes healing by disrupting the chaotic explosion of unwanted cells while nourishing, purifying, and cleansing the naturally growing cells..

Smoky Quartz dissolves negative / emotional blockages allowing positive energies to enter, aligns the physical meridians and ethereal ones for balance, is protective and grounds excess energy.

Sugilite balances the Mind, Body and Spirit by opening the chakras and letting the kundalini syndrome rise through them to the sixth chakra. Along the way it cleanses and purifies the chakras and draws healing energy into the body. It has been reported to center on the Pituitary gland (central to the sixth chakra). This process relieves stress, promotes forgiveness and releases negativity.

.
Chalcopyrite regenerates cells and promotes a calm sensation. Perhaps the calming sensation comes from the healthy regeneration.

I have all these gemstones for sale on "Little Secret" products.

Warning:
As you read about the wonderful effects of crystals, remember this is my research findings. I am not a licensed doctor so if you have a  seriousness illness check with your doctor before starting any crystal regime. And even though the Chinese once ground stones and included them as an oral treatment. We don't know how much or how often. So unless you have been Shanghai-ed to China, remember some minerals are toxic so check with a doctor first.

The Magic of Spirulina

Do you take spirulina everyday? If not, you should, because I do take it everyday. It has been about 4 years I take spirulina religiously and it has been about 4 years straight that I don't even get a cold. My immune system is very strong and I am very thankful for that.

So, what is Spirulina?

Few know what is it but most people do not and that is the reason I am writing about it.

It is not a common garden plant. Rather, it is a "miracle" plant that is form of blue-green algae that grows in warm, fresh bodies of water and it is microscopic.

Why is it important

Spirulina improves immune functions for humans and animals. It does so by making more anti-inflammatory chemicals known as interleukin's and interferon's as well as antioxidants and vitamin A. This helps make cells very strong and healthy and reduces long-term health problems if you take it regularly.
In one placebo-controlled study, taking Spirulina seemed to reduce a precancerous lesion known as leukoplasia in people who chewed tobacco. Lesions were more likely to go away in the Spirulina group than in the placebo group. More research in this area is needed. Preliminary evidence suggests that Spirulina may help protect against liver damage and cirrhosis (liver failure) in people with chronic hepatitis.

It is often believed that Spirulina can lessen or decrease the incidence of allergic reactions, blocking histamine from most cells. By blocking the histamine, Spirulina lessens muscle contraction, excess stomach acid and blood vessel expansion.

Spirulina is often thought to help in weight loss and assist with carbohydrate disorders, problems with vision, allergies, anemia, low cholesterol, high blood pressure, heart problems, diabetes treatment, wound healing, digestive health.

Many men and women suffering from thinning hair or baldness are in search of any products or remedies available to aide them in regrowing their lost hair. One such product they have turned to is spirulina. They claim that Spirulina can speed up hair growth and aide in the return of a full head of hair.

Spirulina also has excellent cleansing, fortifying and restoring qualities for the cells. It helps with the body's natural cleansing function, which results in a more fit, happy and healthy person. Spirulina fortifies by increasing resistance and the natural defense mechanisms of the body. Also, Spirulina restores by increasing the metabolism and making up for any diet deficiencies. For example, Spirulina has:

  • 2300% more iron than spinach
  • 3900% more beta carotene than carrots
  • 300% more calcium than whole milk
  • 375% more protein than tofu

Origin and how to find it.

Spanish explores recorded Aztecs using spirulina as a food source as early as the 16th century.

In 1962, Dr. Clement of the Institute of French Petroleum (IFP) observed the surprisingly strong and healthy people of the Kanembu tribe at Lake Chad (salt water lake) in Africa; although they lived in a very simple environment without many farms or wild animals, fish, or grain crops as food sources, the stature of the people living there was much better than the modernized population. Further investigation found that the Kanembu tribe often gathered the blue-green algae floating on the lake surface, dried it under the sun and mixed it in buns or cooked it in soup.

Today, it is cultivated in the US and sold at most health food stores. You can get powdered Spirulina or pills. I prefer the pills because the powdered versions is so strong, it turns almost everything green and while it has wonderful benefits, it tastes like pond algie.  Make sure your brand is organic. Unfortunately, Spirulina is not standardize so, I have listed the brand I take in my Little Secrets products. I strongly encourage you to start taking this product. It is only 3 pills a day and you can enjoy a much healthier life.

Salt and its Magic

Salt is simple and plentiful/ In this age, everyone has access to salt, once only available to royalty. We should be grateful because it is an essential element of life on this planet.

First, some background

Salt is the combination of a sodium ion with a chloride ion, making it one of the most basic molecules on earth. It's also one of the most plentiful. It has been estimated that salt deposits under the state of Kansas could supply the entire world's salt needs for the next 250,000 years.

But salt is also an essential element. Life itself would be impossible without it, since the human body requires salt in order to function properly. The concentration of sodium ions in the blood is directly related to the regulation of safe body fluid levels.

Now some history

While we're all familiar with the many uses of salt in cooking and making our walks and roads safer in the winter, we may not be aware that salt is used in some 14,000 commercial applications. From manufacturing pulp and paper to setting dyes in textiles and fabric, to producing soaps and detergents - salt plays an essential role in our daily lives in all of these roles.
Salt has a long and influential role in world history. From the dawn of civilization, salt has been a key factor in economic, religious, social and political development. In every part of the world, salt has been the subject of superstition, folklore, and warfare, it has even been used as currency.
Salt is also a protection in the winter, black ice is everywhere and salt prevent us from falling.

Medical value of salt

Anyone who has lived in southern climates or spent a lot of time sweating with work or athletics has learned how important salt is to maintaining hydration. Our Iodized Salt of today results from a long road of the use of salt as a carrier for iodine to treat goiters. The ancient Greeks began to link iodine rich seaweed to curing goiters.  Then in 1821 a French nutritional chemist Jean Baptiste Boussingault discovered iodine-rich salts could be used to treat goiter.

Finally, in the years 1907-1909, Dr. David Marine, a young doctor in Cleveland, OH, USA, began working explicitly on using iodine-fortified salt to prevent goiter in Akron. By 1924 iodized salt was commonly available in the U.S. In less than a decade, 90+% of the salt consumed in the U.S. "goiter belt" was iodized. Goiter incidence plummeted, as an example, in Detroit from 9.7% to 1.4% in the first six years of using iodized salt.

Little secrets of salt

But there are some Magical tricks you can do with salt and most people do not know about it, here they are:
  1. Did you know that is unlucky to ask for or receive salt from another person?
  2. Did you know that some people will not enter a new home without a new broom, a new box of salt and a fresh loaf of bread, fearing that bringing the old broom and the salt and bread from the former home will bring the troubles and confrontations they had in that home to the new residence.
  3. Salt, through the ages and cultures, has been thought of as a purifying enemy of evil forces.
  4. If there is someone on your home that you don't like or was not invited and you want that person to leave, just sprinkle salt where this person has last stood or walked. Sprinkling your footpath or walkway to the doorstep, saying, be gone! This salt will drive this person away from you and your home.
  5. In ancient times salt was considered a luxury item and Rome paid its; warriors in salt. This practice is where the word "salary", meaning wages negotiated and paid, is derived from.
  6. It is a strongly held belief that a newborn baby should be given a few grains of salt in its mouth, if the baby cries while receiving the salt, it is believed the child will grow up lucky and have little to cry about while growing up to adulthood.
  7. Some cultures believe a small cloth bag of salt should be pinned in the underclothing of the baby for the first few months to ward off the evil eye and negative spirits which may sap the vitality of the baby.
  8. If you are close to a river, a well or the ocean, throw salt into the sea to carry your wishes or to take away your burdens.
  9. If you have crystals, gemstones, place them outside by the full moon in a bowl of water and throw the salt on top of it. The crystals that are in your home will be cleaned of all negativity, enviousness or bad luck. I do this every full moon since I love crystals and gemstones, I have a lot of them.
  10. Sprinkle some salt on your lottery ticket to bring you luck and good luck!

Pyrite, mistaken for gold by many

Introduction

Pyrite, better known as ":fools gold," is a unique stone. In a way it resembles gold but to me it's so much more precious. This stone is a very easy stone to find. It is can be located in Arizona, Colorado, New York, Missouri, Pennsylvania, and Tennessee. To name just a few locations.
As precious and wonderful as this stone looks, it is fragile and cannot be bent like Gold. Like many crystals, it has wonderful properties - magical and healing properties. This stone can be very useful.

Physical Healing

Stones have been known to be used in crystal healing, whether it involves meditation, the Chakras, or physical healing, each stone has its use. Pyrite aids in some healing, though the list may not be as long as it is with other stones. Let's take a look at what it can do for us.

For we women, our menstrual cycles can be very uncomfortable. Whether it be the pain, the bloating, anything that can go along with that time of the month. Pyrite is said to be able to aid in the discomfort that can come along with our menstrual cycles.
If you are someone who has many symptoms and are having a difficult time diagnosing what is ailing you, this stone can clarify your symptoms and help you find a diagnosis.

As beautiful as it is, Pyrite has been known as a sun stone for some. Because of that it is said to be able to draw pain from the body and even aid in depression.

If you are experiencing a fever or an inflammation, Pyrite has been known to reduce it when used directly on the body.

Keep in mind to always see a doctor for serious medical issues and not to self diagnose or treat with only crystal healing without seeing a professional.

Spiritual Healing

Pyrite is a perfect tool to be used when it comes to balancing or activating the first Chakra also known as the Base Chakra. This stone holds both fire and earth energies and can aid open and truthful communication with someone which in turn can provide more physical and emotional protection. If you carry Pyrite on you it can help you when you are indecisive about something by boosting your self confidence. The Incas used this stone for divination and meditation because of its reflective quality.
Pyrite can be used to increase physical stamina and stimulate intellect. It is also powerful if you are doing any magic that involved wealth.

Pyrite possesses a reflective quality that will shield one from many forms of negative energy and it is a remarkable shield stone and can remove negative energy from one's auras. In its role as a protector, it can help to block pollutants by creating an energy field and act as a protector when performing dangerous work.

The Mysteries of Dragon's Blood

Dragon's Blood is an amazing tree resembling a huge, green mushroom.

History
Found in the mountains of the Socotra Archipelago, they are located in the Indian Ocean south of the Arabian Peninsula. The tree gets its name from red sap which forms a resin that was a prized commodity in the time of the Roman and other older civilizations. It was used as medicine and as a red dye and continued popularity throughout history.

Why the bizarre shape? -  Survival

The mushroom shape is not an accident, it is a matter of survival. Socotra is a hot, desert island with an long dry season and very little rainfall. To survive The Dragon's Blood Tree evolved to capture and conserve  water. Its long waxy leaves funnel water to the trunk of the tree then down to the roots to take advantage of the infrequent morning mist sweeping across the mountains. The dense mushroom shape provides heavy shade for the ground below the tree to minimize evaporation and maximize penetration to the roots. It is an amazing adaptation to its environment.

Medical Properties
Dragon’s Blood contains a broad range of naturally-occurring compounds. The sap is rich in:
  1. Antioxidant phenols, and anti-inflammatory compounds that help to protect the cells of the skin, and reduces redness and swelling.
  2. Proanthocyanidins, which actually repair collagen, the lattice-like main protein that makes up much of our tissues.
  3. Taspine, a known tissue-healing agent
  4. Astringent that stops bleeding
  5. Other anti-bacterial, anti-viral and anti-fungal activity.
This is why Dragon’s Blood is so widely used on infectious skin conditions of all kinds with great success and in many applications to stop bleeding such as spot bleeding, nosebleeds, ulcers, etc.

Mystical and Spiritual side of it

Dragon's Blood also has two important mystical applications:
  1. Clearing and purification
  2. Attraction

Clearing and Purification

Dragon's Blood is particularly good at clearing stagnant and negative energy from a home. In fact the resin is reported to be more powerful that Sage. The best way to use Dragons Blood to clear one's home of negative energy and unwanted entities is to pour sea salt onto a plate in the form of a pile, resembling a mountain. Make a hole in the middle of the pile and place Dragon's Blood powder or incense pieces in the hole. Set the Dragon's Blood ablaze with fire, making it smoke. Then, walk from the back of the house, room by room, to the front entrance door of the home. Make sure to actually go outside of the front door. There you can put out the smoke.

In the case of negative spirits or entities, have a strong and clear intention to demand the entity to leave the house due to it being unwanted. Smoke alters any vibration and impacts the spirit. You may want to alternate between Sage and Dragon's Blood.

Attraction

Dragon's Blood is also a plant of attraction - drawing in success, love, wealth and even fertility.

How can you take advantage of this attraction? First, find the "love corner of your home. Feng Shui says that it is the area of your home against the back wall on the far right (when you're standing at the entrance and looking in.) There you can place a piece of Dragon's Blood along with pink-colored stones to attract and foster love and romance. If you want to attract wealth, Dragon's Blood should also be placed in the "wealth" or "money" corner of the home along with green colored crystals and other gemstones associated with wealth, abundance and prosperity in order to attract material wealth and money.

So, that is it about this amazing tree that can offer so much to us. Enjoy!

The Sacred "Eyebright"

Eyebright, or Euphrasia nemorosa, is the name of a group of plants belonging to the figwort family. They have whitish flowers streaked with purple. This plant got its name from its traditional use as a medication for the eye. As with all herbs, there is always some dispute regarding their effectiveness; however, anecdotal evidence indicates that Eyebright in herbal and homeopathic form is a highly effective treatment when used according to the directions of a health practitioner familiar with its properties. However, it can cause side effects, check with your doctor before using this herb.

NYU reports that Eyebright was traditionally used  to relieve eye inflammation since the Middle Ages based upon the the "doctrine of signatures," a medieval philosophy stating that a substance's medicinal properties reflect its appearance. Although this may seem far-fetched to some people, it has actually proved to be accurate in certain herbs, based on anecdotal observations over time.

Notice that the flower resembles a bloodshot eye. There was even an old French term for Eyebright, "casse-lunettes," which means "break your glasses.”

Eyebright is a beautiful 2 - 8 inch high annual that flowers from June to September. It has deeply cut leaves and many, small, white or purplish flowers. The Eyebright will not grow readily in a garden if transplanted; it is a semi-parasite sapping other plants around it as it relies on their roots for part of its nourishment.

Magical use

In the old days Eyebright was associated with thunderstorms and it was said that it would not be a good idea to pick it on a hot summer's day with thunder hanging in the air, since the lightening would strike where the Eyebright was stored. However, it was of course considered highly effective as an amulet to restore and protect the sight.
Practitioners of magic would use it to strengthen inner sight and vision. The infusion is placed on cotton pads which are then placed over the eyelids to induce clairvoyance; however, the effect is not instant. It might take a few weeks before the powers begin to work. Carried upon your person it may increase psychic powers and also help you see through deceptions, lies and truth in a matter. You could also burn it as incense for clairvoyance and divination.

Medicinal use

  • The leaves have been used in salads, though slightly bitter.
  • A whole plant infusion or strained juice from crushed, fresh stems is a general eye tonic treating strain and infections and is a popular cosmetic wash, giving sparkle to eyes.
  • Its antiseptic, mildly astringent, inflammation-and phlegm-reducing properties ease the irritated eyes and runny nose of hay-fever and sinusitis.
Eyebright can help not just your eyes but dogs eyes and cats too.

How to use it

  • In a tightly covered pot gently brew a handful of the herb in a pint of boiling water. Allow to stand overnight. Strain the herb, squeezing as dry as possible

  • Store the liquid in a tightly sealed container away from sunlight and heat but not in the refrigerator.
  • Drink a half teaspoon in a half cup of spring water or psychic herb tea
If you don't have time to make your own brew, look at my product list on Little Secrets for eye drops and powdered forms you can use...

The Beauty & Magic of the Dragonfly

One of the most magical sights on a summer day or early evening is of the dragonfly. With its shimmering wings and delicate form it seems a creature from the land of Fairies and Gnomes.

These incredible creatures travel with wings that sparkle with spectacular colors by reflecting and refracting light through gossemer4 wings. No insect or bird can maneuver as well as a dragonfly. Flying up to 30 mph, they will twist, turn, move up and down, fly backwards, even change directions instantaneously and still see movement 40 feet away.

The Dragonfly's secret lies in its ability to see around things by looking from different angles.

The Dragonfly's iridescence, comes from their ability to change colors depending on the angle of light or the angle from which you look at them. Symbolizing that life, like light, can bend, shift, and adapt in various ways, making life's appearance never be what it seems to be.

Dragonflies live and breed near water. Therefore, they are found around ponds, pools, lakes, rivers, streams, even bayous or swamps. Access to running water is not only preferred, it is essential. Eggs are laid in the water and the entire nymph (infant) period is spent there. As adults they take to the air.

The power of the dragonfly

Some believe that these insects are spiritual messengers, possessing supernatural powers.

  • The Dragonfly symbolizes the potential for illusion and reminds us to look for our true vision of life.
  • As they zip around, dragonflies symbolize carefree freedom and can be a link for those who are overwhelmed and need to break free from the bonds that hold them down.
  • For those that believe that all life forms communicate, the Dragonfly, as the spiritual messenger, could remind the gardener to water his plants during a dry season or to give thanks for the incredible beauty brought to our world.

Those who seek the Dragonfly as their symbol are likely dreamers.

My personal experience with a Scarlet Skimmer

I had an amazing experience one time with a beautiful Scarlet Skimmer dragonfly.
It was summer of 2010, a beautiful and very warm day. My husband and I were going to take Tundra (our Siberian Husky) for a long walk. My husband left through the garage door and when I came out I could not see them, so I decided to go to the front of the house to look for them, they were not there and as I walk back towards the garage, this very gentle dragonfly stopped in my right shoulder and I did not know what to do, so I started to walk very slowly and I was able to catch up with my husband and Tundra. As we walked, the dragonfly stayed with me, I considered myself so very lucky.

After about a half mile, we were almost back home and she casually flew away. I could not believe that I had been so blessed to have this delicate creature come to rest on me for such a long time!!!

So, since the Dragonfly choose me I decided that it would be my symbol and I have gradually put flowers and bushes in my yard which now attract dragonflies.

"Turquoise" The Healing Stone

Everyone loves turquoise, it is a such beautiful stone and one of my favorites; but most people do not know what this stone can do for them.

The name was originally French, [turquoise,] meaning "Turkish".
It originally referred to material from the great localities in Persia (now Iran), which had passed through Turkey via the old trade routes and was mistakenly believed to have been excavated there.

Healing properties

Turquoise helps your body absorb nutrients, enhances your immune system and can stimulate the regeneration of tissue. This stone contains anti-inflammatory and detoxifying effects. It's been known to help relieve cramps and pain.

Turquoise can purify your lungs and sooth and clear sore throats. You may even try using this stone to heal your eyes if you have anything wrong with them such as cataracts. Turquoise has been reported to help lower the level of acid in your body which benefits rheumatism. It's also great for stomach problems and viral infections. In addition to its physical healing, Turquoise is said to heal the emotional "heart" of the individual as well. Many also recommend that healers wear Turquoise to increase their power.

Magical Properties

This stone is yet another gemstone that will promote a sense of self awareness. It will also help give the wearer the ability to communicate honestly from your heart. It can encourage creative thinking like a lot of different gemstones however unlike other stones, Turquoise will actually help channel that creative energy in a more productive and useful way.

Turquoise has the power to energize the body and the spirit as well as balance the right brain and left brain disparity.

Turquoise was a well known stone used often by Native Americans of the Southwestern US. It was believed to be a connector of Earth and sky.
This stone was used as a protection stone against injuries. It was said that the stone would actually end up shattering, warning the wearer of physical danger. Navajo and Zuni's would put them on bridles of horses to protect them against broken bones from falls of any kind. It is one of the four "elemental" gemstones of the Anasazi, Navajo, and Zuni Tribes (the others are coral, jet and abalone shell). This is considered to be one of the Birthstones for December:
"If cold December gives you birth,
The month of snow, and ice, and mirth,
Place on your hand a Turquoise blue;
Success will bless whatever you do."
Unlike many gemstones Turquoise is actually believed to open all the body's seven chakras.
It is a stone of purification, serenity, friendship, love and positive thinking. It has the power to prevent panic attacks, so place it on the throat chakra.

Turquoise is thought to increase Wisdom. "An old ritual utilized Turquoise to gain wealth. A few days after the New Moon when the crescent is first visible in the sky. Avoid looking at the Moon until the
proper time. Hold a Turquoise in your hand. Visualize your magical need -- money -- manifesting in your life. Move outside and look at the Moon. Then directly shift your gaze to the Turquoise. The magic has begun. Carry the stone with you until the money arrives."

It is not surprising that the Native Americans found this stone to be so sacred. It is beautiful but not only beautiful. I find that it truly helps relax me when ever I wear any kind of turquoise jewelry.
This is one special stone.

Scientific Information

Turquoise is a Hydrous basic phosphate of copper and aluminum. It may occasionally contain some iron. This mineral ranges from sky-blue through bluish green; even occasionally apple green. The streak is white and the hardness is between 5 and 6.

Environment

Turquoise forms as a secondary mineral in the zone of alteration in disseminated hydrothermal replacement deposits.

Where to Find

The finest Turquoise comes from the southwest slope of the Ali-Mirsa-Kuh Mts., near Nishapur, Khurasan, Iran. In North America turquoise is found mostly in the Southwest and occasionally in Mexico. Microscopic crystals of Turquoise occur in fractured quartz in a small copper prospect near Lynch Station, Campbell Co., Virginia.

Color & quality

Gem-quality Turquoise ranges in color from pale blue to bright blue. Vein Turquoise is usually poor in quality and does not take the polish that can be given

to nodular Turquoise. Much Turquoise is porous, but it can be plastic-impregnated before use. Turquoise is used for cabochons or carved and it makes gorgeous jewelry.

The Incredible Bergamot Oil

This fruit has been with us for centuries, the first documented use of the Bergamot Fruit was in Calabria in the south of Italy, where it was treated as a medicinal element use in treatment of Malaria. In 1610 the use of the Italian word "bergamotta" was first used in Bergamo, Italy and is likely the source of the name, Bergamot.

In 1714 archive records indicate that the oil was first used in Germany as an element of perfume. In fact, it is the oil of the Bergamot that is most valuable today. Over the years, its use has grown to include, flavoring for tea, cosmetics and magic.
.
What is it?
The Bergamot fruit is citrus in origin and slightly yellow when ripe. Its taste is not as tart as a lemon, but more bitter than grapefruit. It is grown in:
  • Southern Italy
  • Southern France
  • Ivory Coast
Bergamot is rarely consumed as a fruit or fruit juice. It is primarily cultivated for its cold compressed essential oil. Originally, it was produced with a folding process that broke down the cells of the rind and captured the oil. Today the process is mechanical, peeling the fruit, scraping the rind under running water, then sent to a centrifuge for separation.  World wide production is reported to be 100 tonnes.

Magical Properties
Frequently used in aromatherapy, this oil calms us and brings peace by taking away stress and tension.
If you inhale the oil, it will help relieve depression and anxiety. Used at night, will produce a restful, relaxing sleep.

This oil is aligned to Mercury and the element of air, encouraging success and increased energy.

Here is a little trick to promote success.
  • Place 3-5 drops of the oil and rub your wallet or purse
  • Envision it full of cash
  • Put a drop on your money
This will help to bring money back to you. You can also keep a few bills with the oil on it to help you reinforce how rich you are.

Bergamot Essential Oil can also be placed in a sachet, (5-8 drops) and carried in your purse to attract success and bring you money.

I use Bergamot Oil often and love it.

Sweet and Powerful  "Honey"

Do you love honey? I do, I have one spoon in the morning before breakfast and one at night before I go to sleep. But I did not know how wonderful honey is for us ( human beings), until I started to research this article.

Mankind has used honey for thousands of years. Uses range from a:
  • Healthy sweetener
  • Early antibiotic
  • Conditioner for hair & skin
  • Cakes for rituals
  • Reduction of allergies
  • Many more.

First known uses

The ancient Egyptians began to see the multiple uses of  honey back in the 1st dynasty when records show the title of Sealer of the honey was given to a drawing of bee keeping in the Royal Chambers.
Since earliest times one of the pharaohs' titles was Bee King, and the gods also were associated with the bee. The sanctuary in which Osiris was worshiped, was the Hwt bjt, the Mansion of the Bee, and in addition to cultivating bees, they had official bee hunters to find the wild honey which they valued even more. Why this broad importance of honey in their society?

To the Egyptians, bees were so important because honey was not only used as a sweetener. It was also used as a base for more than half of the herbal remedies prescribed by Egyptian healers. Honey seemed to have a mystical healing property. They even associated it with their Gods. Traces of honey has even been found within the remains of mummified bodies. The Egyptians could observe and use honey, but as humans, we have an innate need to understand why?

What was this magic of honey?

It took us over 4 millenniums to begin to unravel the mystery. The first step was a Dutchman's identification of bacteria in 1683, the first known cause of why wounds became infected and led to death.

The second step took several centuries to complete, an analysis of the effect of honey on bacteria. What was discovered was that honey is an amazing antibacterial. In recent years studies have shown honey capable of inhibiting the growth of over 60 species of bacteria as well as an effective anti-fungal.
Honey's antibacterial comes from its slow release of hydrogen peroxide and other phytochemicals that aid in the healing process. Those studies also revealed that only some strains have the phytochemicals. Perhaps that is why the Egyptians had Bee Hunters to find the wild honey.

So, 4400 years later, how can we use honey?

Like the Egyptians, you must first make sure you are using a natural honey! Today, in our highly processed food chain, national brands have filtered honey to the point that the naturally occurring microscopic pollen material is gone. The Food and Drug Administration says that any product that’s been ultra-filtered and no longer contains pollen isn’t honey. Who does ultra filtering - most of the national brands. Food & Safety news in 2011 listed the following as Ultra-filtered honey brands and this list is limited to the brands they tested.
  • American Choice Clover Honey
  • Archer Farms Orange Blossom Honey
  • Archer Farms Organic Classic Honey
  • Busy Bee Organic Honey
  • Busy Bee, Pure Clover Honey
  • CVS Honey
  • Fred Meyer Clover Honey
  •  Full Circle Pure Honey
  • Giant Eagle Clover Honey
  • GE Clover Honey
  • Great Value, Clover Honey
  • Haggen Honey, Natural & Pure
  • HT Traders Tupelo Honey
  • Kroger Pure Clover Honey
  • Market Pantry Pure Honey
  • Mel-o 100 % Pure Honey
  • Natural Sue Bee Clover Honey
  • Naturally Preferred Fireweed Honey
  • Rite Aid Honey
  • Safeway Clover Honey
  • Silver Bow Pure Honey
  • Stop and Shop Clove Honey
  • Sue Bee Clover Honey
  • Thrifty Bee Honey
  • Valutime Honey
  • Walgreen MEL-O honey
  • Western Family Clover Honey
  • Wegman Clover Honey
  • Winnie the Pooh, Pure Clover
If that doesn't get your attention, then you aren't interested in the healing properties of honey. For those of you who are, I encourage you to find a local bee keeper who sells his honey and start with that. My comments on the benefits assume that you are using natural, unfiltered, unheated honey.

Another benefit of unfiltered honey is relief from allergies caused by local plant pollen. Because local honey contains trace amounts of the pollen from the plants that the bees gathered nectar from, regular consumption will eliminate or minimize your allergic reaction to those pollens. Here on the Eastern shore of Maryland in the US, we have a lot of marsh grasses which triggered my allergies when we moved here. But now, I don't get that allergic reaction. A benefit that I attribute to using locally produced honey. One of my local beekeepers told me that I should consume one teaspoon of honey a day to reduce the impact of local pollens, and it worked. You should begin to see some benefit withing a month of so.

Honey has also been reported to benefit:
  • Eyes and eye sight
  • Toxicity
  • Urinary tract disorders
  • Worm infestations
  • Bronchial asthma
  • Cough
  • Diarrhea
  • Nausea and vomiting

Honey is also a wonderful moisturizer for your skin.  It helps to retain water and will keep your skin supple, free from dryness. You can also add a few drops of honey on your cremes and moisturizers. Because of its ability to fight infection, honey is an ideal natural way to soften blackheads and avoid pimples and acne.
Dr OZ recommended a Honey Mask to his TV Audience. To protect your lips from weather and cold use a thin layer of honey, it will help a lot.

Magical Properties of Honey
Continuing with the role of bees in communicating with the Gods, Celtic mythology recognizes the bee as a messenger between our world and the spirit realm. Bees are also associated with wisdom and often appear in the symbology of Royalty.
"Old" wives tales tell us that:
  • If a bee lands on your hand, it means money is coming your way.
  • If a bee flies into your house, it means that someone is coming to visit. If you kill the bee, the visitor will bring you bad news.
  • One spoon of honey a day will help you live longer
  • A small amount of black pepper powder with honey and ginger juice will relieve symptoms of asthma
  • Carrot juice and 2 teaspoons of honey as a mid day refresher, will improve your sight lessen stress
  • One teaspoon of garlic juice mixed with 2 spoons of honey helps to control blood pressure
So, my friends, look for unfiltered honey and enjoy the benefits for you and your family.

Sandalwood more then a sweet smell

Most of us know about Sandalwood as a lovely, calming smell that helps us to relax. But I'll let you in on another little secret. Sandalwood also has health benefits and some magical properties as well.

The fragrance that so many of us know actually comes from an evergreen with small yellow to purple flowers. But, as the name implies, the fragrance actually comes from the heartwood of the tree; not, from the flower. The heartwood is the older, non-living wood of a tree found in its center, often darker than the wood in the outer rings.

Producing Sandalwood
While living, the fragrance of the Sandalwood is so strong that one tree can spread the smell to all the trees around it as the smell clings to other trees. However, the tree is very finicky about where it grows and if it does establishes itself in a favorable location it will only begin forming the heartwood after 10 years of growth. By that time, the diameter will be around 9 inches and its height approximately 10 feet. Finally, the heartwood begins to form rapidly after 20 years and the tree realizes it maximum heartwood production at around 50 - 60 years. By this time it should be 60 feet high and the trunk diameter around 2 - 3 feet.
But, as I said, it is very finicky about where it grows. This is a direct result of its method of nourishment. You see, Sandalwood is a root parasite and extracts nutrients from the other plants around it. As a result, it does not depend on a specific type of tree from which it steals it's nourishment, rather it pulls from a combination of other plants. This has left Arborist in a quandary as to what conditions best suit the tree. Efforts to repeat the same environment so that growers can increase production have been futile.

However, that isn't the end of the story. Once you have a tree ready to produce, The trees are not simply cut and harvested. Rather, they are uprooted to gain access to the root wood because this is where the highest content of oil is found.

As you can imagine, this has created a very high value commodity which is sold only to perfumers, craftsman, and incense makers in India under armed guard, under strict Indian Government control. However, due to its high value sandalwood is often exploited by thieves and smugglers.

Heath Benefits of Sandalwood
Sandalwood is an anti-inflammatory that has been used as a traditional cure for urinary tract, kidney, throat, chest and bronchial infections as well as a topical agent to reduce swelling in lymph nodes.

It also has a relaxation agent that has been found useful for slowing spasms, stopping cramps, and treatment of insomnia and anxiety. You may want to try adding a few drops to your favorite massage oil to increase relaxation and soothe sore muscles.
Some claim that it also helps healing and fades scar tissue.
Taken internally, it’s reported to be a digestive cure for upset stomach, gas, heartburn, or diarrhea; and a circulatory system aid that may help reduce high blood pressure.

It has also been used as a aphrodisiac in India as it is chemically similar to androsterone and helps stimulate and regulate the reproductive system. It has also demonstrated a reduction in skin carcinogens from a 5% extract Sandalwood application.

Around the home, you can dilute the oil in water to repel ants and other insects. This makes it an excellent alternative for otherwise poisonous sprays and traps.

Magical Properties
Each flower forms one seed and these seeds, when made into beads, are protective and promote a spiritual awareness when worn. Because of Sandalwood's calming effect, a powder can be spread to clear negativity.
Sandalwood is popular for incense, often burned during spells for protection, healing & exorcism. It is also used for purification and spirituality.

Sandalwood Oil can also be used to represent the astrological signs of Cancer, Virgo, and Pisces as well as the element of Air in ritual magic, helping you to draw on the properties of each sign or element.

Gardenia, an evergreen to remember

Gardenia is one of my favor flowers, my Mom used to have some, so I grew up smelling them.
It has amazingly wonderfully scented white double flowers and orange-red fruits, with glossy, dark green leaves. It is an evergreen that thrives in the heat. You likely would see it featured in magazines like Southern Living. These plants are native to the tropical and subtropical zones of Africa, Southern Asia, Australia, and Oceania.

Gardenia was first introduced to the Western world from Cape Colony in Africa.
In addition to the fragrance of the flowers,Gardenia "essential
oil" is one of the most precious oils in the world and known for its heavenly aroma and fragrance. During the extraction process, fresh, fully opened flowers are plucked from the Gardenia plant and carefully laid on trays covered with a layer of palm oil. The essential oils from the flower petals slowly migrate to the palm oil and the process is repeated until the palm oil is completely saturated with the oil of the Gardenia. Then the Gardenia oil is separated from the palm oil by alcohol which then evaporated leaving only the pure Gardenia oil.

Healing properties
Beyond the beauty and sweet smell, Gardenia holds some magical secrets.  It can:
  • Cool the blood
  • Reduce swelling
  • Calm irritability
  • Stop bleeding
  • Treat muscle, joint, and tendon injuries; anxiety, infections, insomnia, headaches and dizziness.
The fruit is used in anti-fungal, astringent, and stomach tonics.

Internally, the gardenia plant is used for:
  • Irritability
  • Hypertension
  • Bloody urine, stool, hepatitis ulcers and infections.
  • Mental and mood disorders such as delirium, headaches,  emotional blockages, insomnia, and anxiety.
For these ailments, capsules and teas are available.

Gardenia is used on abscesses, bruises, sprains, and swelling. The essential oil of the gardenia is know to calm the heart.  It is often used  to aid in separation anxiety in animals and for shelter pets or animals that have experienced a trauma such as a fire, the loss of their human, those left behind in Katrina, etc. In animals, the gardenia is also used on and for snakebites.

Magical Properties
Having Gardenia next to you provides:
  • Health
  • Healing
  • Love
  • Peace
  • Psychic Awareness
  • Spirituality.
Here are some ways to take advantage of its special powers:
Place fresh blossoms in sick rooms or on healing altars to aid the healing process
  • Add dried petals to healing mixtures
  • Scatter dried gardenia  around a room to induce peaceful vibrations
  • Add to Moon incenses
  • Use them in love potions, spells, other spiritual rituals to attract good spirits.
I also had Gardenia's at our home in Connecticut and I have never smelled anything so sweet and fresh. If you are going to plant some, be careful of the pH level in the soil. For example, near concrete foundations, walks and other concrete structures. Concrete excretes high levels of pH. Plant Gardenias near a deck or window where you can enjoy the flowers' fragrance. The plants grow from 2 to 8 feet tall and wide, depending on the variety (142). Most gardenias bloom from mid-spring into summer. They are hardy to about 10°F. If you are in colder climes, you will likely get root die back.

The amazing "Garlic"

Garlic, Latin name Allium sativum, is in the onion family which inclues all onions, chives, shallots, and leeks. Garlic has been an historic tool for medicinal and culinary purposes. The garlic bulb is divided into sections called cloves.

History
Many civilizations have used Garlic.
  1. Mediterranean cuisine included garlic in many dishes.
  2. It was grown in England as far back as 1548.
  3. Egyptians ate garlic daily for enhanced endurance and strength.
  4. The Greeks placed Garlic on the piles of stones at cross-roads, as a supper for Hecate.
  5. Roman emperors ate it as an antidote to poisons.
  6. Spanish cuisine made heavy use of garlic as a preservative,  supporting it's anti-bacterial properties.
  7. Europeans believed garlic was a powerful protection against demons, werewolves, and vampires. They went so far as to wear necklaces of garlic and hung it in windows or rubbed it on chimneys and keyholes.

Health properties
Garlic  has several health benefits such as:
  1. Lowering blood pressure
  2. Increasing HDL cholesterol
  3. Lowering LDL cholesterol
  4. Improves the body's ability to break up of blood clots
  5. Strengthens the immune systems
  6. Kills germs
  7. Improves circulation

Improving the effectiveness of the immune system is one of the most important health benefits of Garlic. It does this by producing Allicin when crushed, chopped, or even bruised.

Allicin is a powerful antibiotic that inhibits the growth of germs. Some have gone so far to suggest that, "1 milligram of Allicin has a potency  of 15 standard units of  penicillin." Garlic promotes interleukin-1 levels through stimulation of T-lymphocyte and macrophage.
This strengthens the immune systems natural killer cells.

Garlic may also improve your ability to metabolize iron through the  action of its sulfides.  They can help increase production of a protein called ferroportin which allows stored iron to leave the cells and become available where it is needed.

Another benefit has been confirmed in twelve separate studies that show garlic reducing cholesterol. It also has been shown to improve heart health. Perhaps these are related. The heart benefits of garlic come from its ability to increase the production of hydrogen sulfide gas. It works like this, red blood cells can convert the sulfur-containing molecules in garlic into produce hydrogen sulfide gas which then helps blood vessels to expand, a recognized tool for reducing high blood pressure and lessening the effect of cholesterol. Garlic extract is not effective in this way.
Garlic also helps reduce coagulation. According to a study published in Life Sciences, a "daily dose of 1 ml/kg body weight of garlic extract for a period of 6 months resulted in a significant reduction in oxidant (free radical) stress in the blood of arteriosclerosis patients. It's positive effect on the circulatory system improves blood flow throughout the body so has even been hailed as a cure for impotence!

New research suggests that garlic may also help to reduce the number of fat cells that get formed in our bodies. Garlic has long been recognized as having anti-inflammatory properties. Researchers have recently discovered that Garlic's inflammatory reduction properties may inhibit the fat cell production process and may become a tool in the fight against obesity.

Garlic fights Cancer
Garlic has been listed at the top of the American Cancer Institute's list of cancer fighting foods. It should not be a surprise when you look at the research. Current research has shown that a number of readily available foods such as garlic and onions that make up a healthy diet, actually have a major impact on cancer prevention. The protective effect of garlic seems to be greater than that of onions, even though onion consumption has been shown to reduce the risk of stomach cancer. These cancer fighting foods seem to have the ability to interfere with the development of cancerous tumors.

The October 2000 issue of the American Journal of Nutrition cited studies which showed that people who consumed cooked or raw garlic on a regular basis compared to those that ate little or none had about half the risk of stomach cancer and one-third less risk of colorectal cancer. Many of its compounds block cancer causing agents such as nitrosamine and aflatoxin which have been specifically linked to stomach, lung and liver cancer. Use of garlic when cooking meat has been shown to reduce the number of  carcinogens produced.

Garlic Home Remedies
A popular remedy is a syrup of garlic, made by boiling the garlic bulbs till soft and adding an equal quantity of vinegar to the water in which they have been boiled, and then sugared and boiled down to a syrup. The syrup is then poured over the boiled garlic bulbs, which have been allowed to dry meanwhile, and kept in a jar. Each morning a bulb or two should be taken, with a spoonful of the syrup.

Garlic is an invaluable medicine for asthma, hoarseness, coughs, difficulty of breathing, and most other disorders of the lungs, being of particular virtue in chronic bronchitis, on account of its powers of promoting expectoration. For ear infections, wrap a small piece of garlic in some tissue, and insert just on top of the ear. Leave it there overnight if possible. Pain is almost immediately removed and the infection tends to start clearing up.

For stomach cramps and constipation, cut a garlic clove into small pieces, swallow them all with a little water.

Ten drops of garlic juice with 2 teaspoon of honey cures asthma.

Magical properties
Garlic is bound to Mars and Fire. It has been thought to possess magical properties for centuries, and is widely used in charms and spells. Most of the believed magical properties of garlic are related to speed, strength, and endurance, and to ward off evil.

It is said that if you carry a garlic clove with you when traveling over water, it will prevent you from drowning. Peeled garlic cloves can be placed in doorways and around the house for protection from illness and to keep evil at bay - especially in new homes. Try placing a clove of garlic under the pillows of children to protect them while they are sleeping.

Legend has it that one can rid oneself of a lovesick former lover by placing a garlic bulb with two crossed pins stuck in it at a road intersection. Lure the lover until he crosses it, and he will lose interest.

Eating and carrying garlic is believed to enhance speed, strength, courage and endurance, and soldiers throughout history have used it for these properties when going into battle. Garlic was also given to slaves in the past to protect them from disease and enhance their strength.

Are you amazed or what?

The Stone of Balance and Love "Rhodochrosite"

Are you stress out with work or something else in your live?  Well, if you are and you have tried all the advertised remedies, but none have really help, then it is time for you to try the magical properties of Rhodochrosite.

What is Rhodochrosite ?

Rhodochrosite is a manganese carbonate mineral. Its chemical composition is MnCO3. In its purest form it is a transparent rose red, but this is fairly rare. In it's natural state, you might find it in a stalactite, formed as the mineral residue of the slow and steady drips from the ceiling of an underground cavern. In this form it can be sliced revealing circular layers of color, from rose to pink to milky white. These lighter colors are formed when the manganese is replaced by calcium, manganese or zinc.

Rhodochrosite has been found in Argentina, Uruguay, Russia, South Africa and the USA. Its name comes from the Greek words for pink and color, named because most of this stone comes in one of the shades of pink.

What are the benefits of Rhodochrosite?

The "Stone of Love & Balance" is how laymen refer to this stone. Historical writings report an electrical energy which supports the strongest power in the Universe…the Power of Love. While enhancing love on all levels, Rhodochrosite also provides balance for the wearer.  This balance reduces stress and supports high energy events, bringing peace and harmony to those that hold it.
This gentle pink stone has an incredible duality. It can be worn to lend extra energy during times of extreme physical activity; yet, it also has a soothing, balancing effect on the emotions and the body.
You might wear a Rhodochrosite when extra physical energy is needed, but you may also use it in a bath to relax and relieve stress. While this may seem unusual, remember that it is your empowering of the gemstone that fine tunes it to your magical need.

Healing properties

Due to its calming effect, Rhodochrosite stabilizes the heart rhythm, regulates blood pressure and relaxes the veins and arteries, improving circulation, which in turn supports the internal and reproductive organs. This balancing effect can also lead to a reduction in migraines, skin disorders, thyroid  imbalances, and intestinal problems. Some even claim a restoration of impaired eyesight.

Magical properties
Rhodochrosite is often carried to draw love and is an excellent stone for healing the heart and building relationships.  It is especially powerful for those who have experienced emotional trauma such as sexual abuse, abandonment, or rejection. I supports relationship building by removing doubt of self-worth, the denial of the need for love, and forgiveness of one's own actions. It can teach the holder to accept and assimilate painful emotions.

On a spiritual level, Rhodochrosite ability to break down blockage supports the lower three chakras: 1st Root, 2nd Sacral,  and 3rd Solar Plexus. This then opens the  4th chakra, the Heart, helping clear away unresolved emotional issues and restore balance.

It has been said that during meditation with Rhodochrosite it is possible that one may attune to the higher sphere of Spirit/The All, in this state it can magnetize and hold the energy field around one, assisting a brief encounter with one’s twin soul.

Have you ever heard of Calamus?

image provided by .spicesmedicinalherbs.com
Calamus is a perennial, semi-aquatic, marshy plant, native to northern Europe and Asia. It has a sword-shaped leaves with small yellow and green flowers on a fleshy, cane-like stalk and thrives in rich, wet soil (or shallow water) in a sunny position, reaching a height of five feet.  The iris-like plant resembles "Yellow Flag" (a member of the lily family) and has been called "Sweet Flag." However, it is actually a member of the palm family. The root of this plant is used in herbal medicine for the treatment of nervous complaints, vertigo, headaches, neuralgia, shock, epilepsy, panic attacks and dysentery.
Botanically, Calamus is known as Acorus Calamus. Its essential oil is derived from fresh or dried roots through steam distillation.  The root oil is strong and fragrant, its taste warm, bitter, pungent and aromatic. Its active principles are taken up by boiling water. It is a thick, pale yellow liquid, and has a high toxicity.

The essential oil from Calamus contains Asorone, previously thought to be carcinogenic when eaten. Web-MD points out that the concentration of Asorone can vary from 0% to 96% and the FDA has banned its use in food based on the fact that three of the four varieties have been found to be carcinogenic. Recent reports from (Luo, 1992 and Hasheminejad & Caldwell, 1999) suggest that the carcinogenic potency is very low. Clearly it is important to get the non-carcinogenic Calamus plant material.

Medical Properties
Traditionally used as a tranquilizer and general “wonder drug,” in some societies, Calamus also is used as a flavoring. The oil is a sedative, hypotensive, and muscle relaxant; so, caution should be exercised if:

  • Surgery is planned
  • You are taking
    • Tranquilizers such as CNS depressants
    • Anti-depressants such as MAOIs
    • Sleep aids such as Ambien
    • Antacids such as Tums
    • H-2 Blockers such at Pepsid
    • Proton Pump Inhibitors like Prilosec

Calamus use was known to ancient Romans and has a significant place in the Indian system of medicines, Ayurveda. Traditionally Calamus was used for its effects on the digestive system and the lungs. This herb eliminates phlegm, clears congestion, and tranquilizes the mind. Traditional uses include: amnesia, heart palpitations, insomnia, tinnitus, chronic bronchitis, and bronchial asthma.

In Europe, Calamus is used as a digestive aid, helping to counter acidity and ease heartburn and dyspepsia. Others have chewed the root to reduce toothache and defeat the nicotine triggered urge to smoke. Calamus has also been used to reduce gastric upset during the acute phase of drug withdrawal.

Magical Properties

Users can grow Calamus for good luck and use it in powdered form in incense and healing sachets. Seeds can be strung together as beads for healing as well. You can also keep pieces of the root in all four corners of the kitchen to protect against poverty and hunger.

Burning the incense treats headaches, coughs, colds and allergies.
Calamus is toxic and care should be used with this plant extract.
Due to its might fire that stimulates warmth, it belongs to the Sun.
Traditional Ketoret has long incorporated Sweet Flag into spiritual rituals, in particular in work connected contacting one’s holy guardian angel.
