Brazil's Capital

It is a common mistake to think of Rio as Brazil's capital, a distinction is lost on April 21st 1960 when Brasilia became the capital.
Brasilia was conceived as a showplace for Brazilian innovation. The city's layout is designed to resemble a colorful bird from the Rain Forest while the architecture is thoroughly modern.
